For the first 16 years of our ministry in Japan, we served through Mission to Unreached Peoples.  During that time, Dan was ordained for pastoral ministry by International Ministerial Fellowship.  In 2012 we decided to change our missions affiliation to IMF, also, as MUP was developing a new vision and strategy that was no longer a good fit with the type of ministries in which the Lord was leading us.  IMF was founded primarily as an association of evangelical churches in the U.S., but their missions involvement has been growing a lot, and they currently have over 1000 missionaries in 51 countries around the world.
