Love Hiroshima (US Campus Crusade Partnership)

Campus Crusade's John Clendinnen has made a long-term commitment to sharing the gospel with the youth of Hiroshima Prefecture and as a beginning step has been leading short-term teams to Hiroshima. We have been privileged to partner in this ministry in many ways and it has been an exciting and fruitful relationship for all of us. Love Hiroshima has been coming to town once a year for several years now and in May of 2000 we welcomed the largest team to come so far. The group split into small teams that spent a few days with each of eleven local churches, passing out literature, participating in special outreach events at churches, and visiting both public and private schools. During this outreach close to 13,000 Jesus story cassette tapes and 12,000 New Life tracts were delivered to homes and passed out at various locations. Also, many testimonies and messages were given in small groups and at the various events. The culmination of Love Hiroshima 2000 was a Gospel Concert that was a blast. Pray that the seeds sown would grow in many hearts.
